Congratulations on the awesome gift of becoming a parent! We are excited that you are considering bringing your child to the Church for baptism. You are encouraged to begin this process even prior your child's birth or placement. We are happy to accompany you each step of the way.
Please read this step-by-step guide for baptizing your child from birth to age 6, as well as this article about the role of the baptismal sponsers/godparents and how to discern who in your life would be a good candidate.
Once you have you have read the above and completed Steps 1-3 on the step-by-step Baptism Process Guide, please contact Fr. Liekhus, who will guide you through the rest of the process.
If you wish to baptize a child who is age 7 or older, please communicate directly with our Director of Faith Formation.

Under Canon Law, the parish that provides the sacrament of Baptism becomes the permanent holder of that person's sacramental records. All of your future sacraments of initiation, as well as marriage or religious orders, will also be recorded by the baptizing parish. In order to receive sacraments at another parish, you will be asked to provide a Certificate of Baptism that has been issued within the past six months. That certificate needs to be requested in writing from the baptizing parish. We have provided the form below to make it easy for you to submit your request. Due to the detailed requirements for issuing these documents, it can take up to two weeks for your request to be completed.
