Normally, Christmas is like having another weekend in Sunday Giving, because many people make both their regular contributions the weekends before and after, as well as an additional donation at Christmas Mass. Please keep in mind that this year we will not have this “extra weekend” to help us absorb all of our year-end expenses, so we appreciate any extra help you can give. Thank you for your generosity!
Contributions for 2016 Tax Year We know that many people make significant contributions at the end of the year with the expectation of deducting them from their taxes. Please note the following requirements put forth by IRS: all contributions must be
received by St. Richard’s Catholic Church by Saturday,
December 31, or
postmarked by December 31, to be credited in tax year 2016.
All contributions given at church on Sunday, January 1—or that have a postmark of 2017—will be credited to 2017, regardless of the date written on the check. Please also be aware that due to the holiday, mail that you put into a postbox this Saturday may not be postmarked until Tuesday, January 2. Unfortunately, we are not permitted to make any exceptions to the IRS' guidelines regarding the postmark.
The easiest way to give us to click "Make a Donation" at the bottom of this page to contribute electronically!
Please contact Sheryl Rose at 612-869-2426 or [email protected] with questions or to discuss other giving options. Thank you!
