Meeting Minutes

January 19, 2016

Present:	Fr. Mark Pavik, Doris Brandner (Chair), Samantha Smith (Secretary), Judy Black, Maureen Scaglia, Paul Kujawski, Bob Schiltz, Sue Loeffler

I.Opening Prayer

• Lead by Sue Loeffler

II.Capital Campaign Progress

• Meeting tomorrow with Steier Group
• 28 of 40 people in place
• First 3 pledges in place
• 4 donations already made

III.Facility Rentals

• Renting of the Social Hall would not go forward as a consistent form of revenue stream/budget
• Would be using with restrictions

IV.Committees/Commissions Needed

• Communication committee-waiting to see if anything comes out of the capital campaign to see if a group comes out of that

V.Community Room Chairs

• Community Room Chairs-looking at chairs and there are funds available to purchase 90 of them
  • Metal frame with plastic seat and backing 

VI.Parking Lot Rental

·Some advice received from Cushman Wakefield (free Archdiocesan resource) that our property is worth more than we thought and that we should be charging a higher rate for our parking lot. 

·Have a contact for creating the contract.  I called Honda a couple of weeks ago, but have not heard back.  Need to follow up with them.  If they don't return my call again, I will contact Jeep who also had indicated interest. 

 

VII. Council/Committee Updates

• Faith Formation Update-via email update
  • Introduction of Suzie the new faith formation director on 1/6
  • Review of current status of Sunday Faith Formation programs was completed
  • Initial planning of started for the Faith Formation Service Activity during the upcoming Lent 3-Day Event
• Pastoral Committee-no current update
• Worship Committee-working on Lent 3 day
  • Year of Mercy
  • Meeting this week to plan the Lenten 3 day
• Resources Committee-meeting is upcoming but not yet set
• Facilities Committee-meeting on 1/18 to discuss what to do with the Social Hall
  • Searching for ideas on how to make the space more welcoming
  • Flooring that is easy to clean without carpeting
  • Gym should be covered with a durable flooring
  • Combine the top and low rated projects for what needs to be done with the facilities

• Update next month on Capital Campaign
• November Fest final numbers are not yet in.
