¡Hola! Mi nombre es Isidro Cardoso. Empezé a trabajar aquí a San Richard en Octobre de año 2003.
I have been the full-time maintenance staff member here since October 2003. Along with
Tom Flood, Facilities Manager, I do daily care and anual deep cleaning of all the floors, the classrooms, bathrooms, narthex and social hall in our building. I especially enjoy looking after the sanctuary and baptismal font. I also change out light bulbs, gather garbage and recycling, and change out the messages for our large sign on Penn Avenue.
The thing I like best about working here are the caring and very good people, including the church and school staff, and faculty and the parishioners. I feel very lucky to have found this job. I relish the peace and good relationships I have with everybody, and I am very content to be working here.
I live in Shakopee with my wife, Esther, and our seven children (Omar, Isidro Jr., Rubiel, Yasmin, Miguel, Kevin, and Edwin), who range in age from 26 to 6. I grew up on a ranch in Las Juntas del Rio, Tlatlaya Mexico, where I learned to care for goats, horses, hogs, and cows. I love horses and I have worked as a caretaker for racehorses in Chicago, Florida, and Minnesota (Shakopee). I have eight living siblings. My mother still lives in Mexico and tends animals on the ranch, and my father died about a year ago.
I am a dedicated husband and father, and my wife and children are my greatest pride and joy. I most enjoy spending my free time with my immediate and extended family (who we entertain at our house very often--my wife is a
great cook!), taking my family on fun excursions, such as to Valleyfair, swimming, and out to eat, and I enjoy hanging out at Canterbury Park.
