What Does a Liturgist Do?

As liturgy is the source and summit of our faith, the purpose of the purpose of this position encompasses the base of our faith in preparing, facilitating, empowering, and enhancing participation in the liturgical life and ministry of the parish as well as hospitality, adult faith formation, evangelization, and spirituality.

As the Director of Liturgy, I collaborate with Fr. Mark Pavlik, Betsy Sullivan, and the Worship Commission. As the Director of Adult Formation I work in collaboration with the staff and committees to provide formational and educational opportunities for the adults in the parish. I also coordinate the parish RCIA program, oversee the process for engaged couples to be married, and work with Jolaine Liupakka regarding funerals and graveside services.
