OPENING PRAYER
O God, who by the mystery of today’s great feast sanctify your whole Church
in every people and nation, pour out, we pray, the gifts of the Holy Spirit across
the face of the earth and, with the divine grace that was at work when the
Gospel was first proclaimed, fill now once more the hearts of believers.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O Lord my God, you are great indeed!
How manifold are your works, O Lord! The earth is full of your creatures!

If you take away their breath, they die and they return to their dust.
When you send forth your Spirit of life, they are created in your sight!

Holy Spirit, Lord Divine,
Come, from heights of heav’n and shine,

UNIVERSAL PRAYER- That the church may rise above everything that weighs it down, and be unambiguous signs of the Spirit’s power and presence in the world. Let us pray to the Lord.
- That the Advocate, the Spirit of truth, will guide leaders of churches, communities, and families in efforts of justice and peace. Let us pray to the Lord.
- That all who work for the health and well-being of others during this time of pandemic will be kept strong in body, mind, and spirit. Let us pray to the Lord.
- That all who work tirelessly to provide for the world’s food supply will have the aid of good weather and a growing economy. Let us pray to the Lord.
- That the Spirit of compassion and healing will rest upon the sick, the suffering, the dying, and those in need of our prayers. Let us pray to the Lord.
- That the Spirit of God will empower each of us to be ministers of mercy, peace, welcome, and patience in times of unrest and uncertainty. Let us pray to the Lord.
- We remember our loved ones who have gone before us in faith, especially those who have died during the coronavirus pandemic. Let us pray to the Lord.
LORD’S PRAYER
PRAYER FOR PEACE
Loving God, please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart.
Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk
the path You have laid out for me. I trust your love God, and know that
you will heal this stress. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night,
may hope rise against anxiety and worry. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
BLESSING
May God bless our days and our deeds with peace, in the name of the Father,
+ and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
