The Lent Event: Day 1: Prayer (February 20)
Throughout Lent, we are called to walk with Jesus, our friend and brother. We will begin our annual "Lent Event" with the opportunity to experience three different ways of “walking in the footsteps of Christ” using a Labyrinth, Visual Meditation and the traditional Stations of the Cross. The evening will start with a meatless soup supper at 6:00pm in the Social Hall. Opportunities to experience the Stations in the church and the chapel begin at 7:00pm.
The Lent Event: Day 2: Reflection (February 21)
Fr. Mark Pavlik will lead our retreat, looking at the historical and theological aspects of the Stations of the Cross, and an opportunity to reflect on how they can enhance our prayer life. Hospitality will begin at 8:30am in the Social Hall and the retreat will last from 9:00am-12:00noon.
The Lent Event: Day 3: Service (February 22)
Please join us after the 11:00am Mass for our annual Lenten service project and pot luck lunch. Each year we make bag lunches for those in need at Sharing and Caring Hands. Please bring a dish to share at the potluck and a donation to be used in making the bag lunches (individually bagged chips, baby carrots, peanut butter, jelly or sandwich bags).
