The Lent Event: Prayer On Friday,
February 26, the first day of our annual Lent Three-Day Event will begin with a soup and bread supper at 6:00pm. At 7:00pm, we will offer the opportunity to experience three different ways of praying the Stations of the Cross: walking the labyrinth, visual meditations, and traditional Stations.
The Lent Event: Reflection On Saturday,
February 27, we will have retreat presentations, the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as well as time for private prayer starting at 8:00am. The sessions starting at 9:00am will include Psalms of Mercy by Betsy Sullivan, Experiencing God’s Mercy by Fr. Mark Pavlik, and Keys to Mercy by Susie Osacho. The sessions will conclude around noon.
The Lent Event: Service We have received a Works of Mercy
challenge and we are taking it up as part of our Lent Three-Day Event! At noon, on Sunday,
February 28, we will gather in the Social Hall for a potluck meal and fellowship. The fruits of prayer and reflection lead us to service, so we will spend time preparing lunches for Sharing and Caring Hands. We will be recording a video to post on YouTube to challenge a neighboring parish to also coordinate a work of mercy during this Year of Mercy.
