Baptized children in grades 2 or older will receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion (Eucharist) during the 11am Mass on Sunday, May 5, 2019, after completing at-home lessons and attending a series of parent/child preparation sessions at the church from March to May. View the full class schedule for 2019 here. Families are asked to make every effort to attend all sessions. The first part of the school year (fall 2018), parents/children prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). Refer to our Reconciliation page for more information.
Families should be registered members of St. Richard's Cathoilc Church. Follow this link to our New Member Registration page if you are not registered and wish to join the parish. If you are a member of another parish and intend to remain a member of that parish, you must request a letter from your pastor acknowledging that he is aware that your child is preparing to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion (Eucharist) at St. Richard. You may view a sample letter/email request to your pastor by clicking here.
