The Office of Evangelization
Behold Participants and Speakers
The Office of Evangelization has recently launched a new initiative called Behold. The inspiration for Behold was fostered through the GIVEN Catholic Women’s Leadership Forum. This forum was a week-long immersion in faith formation, leadership training, and networking which took place at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.
Participants of the forum had the responsibility of coming up with an Action Plan where she would be encouraged to use her unique talents for the good of others. Behold is the fruit of such an Action Plan and the hope is that women in this Archdiocese too will recognize the gifts that they are, realize the gifts they’ve been given, and give the gifts that only they can give.
The testimonials below are from participants and speakers of the Behold Retreat and Series that took place this last year through The Office of Evangelization.
“…the Behold Retreat explained the theology of hospitality I have long encountered but never understood…Hospitality brings us back to our fundamental need for relationships, with Christ and our neighbors.” –Kate, Participant
“…when I went to the Behold retreat I was really called out to put my roots into a parish and really take that first step to reconnecting to a community where we are really supporting each other and using the gifts that God has given us.” –Ashley, Participant
“…this Behold experience is a way for women to truly connect on a deeper level with one another and to experience the love of Christ and to have authentic meaningful relationships.” –Justina, Speaker
“Behold is an incredible opportunity to be able to discover the gifts that you’ve been given and to be able to understand how you can give those gifts to others and to be refreshed and renewed in your everyday life.” –Bridget, Speaker

The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis was established in 2014 to create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus Christ and to make the truth of Christ and his Church clearly understood and accessible. Evangelization and Catechesis efforts are created and experienced in cooperation with parishes and Catholic schools and the many ministry groups through the local Church.
Since January 2015, The Office of Evangelization & Catechesis’ focus has been to support the pastor and parish in their evangelization efforts by offering initiatives that cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and development toward discipleship.
New initiatives by the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis are dedicated to that purpose and have specific targets for building up the family as well as the parish community. Another important effort is being placed on improving communications and outreach.
