Opening Prayer

Archdiocesan Bankruptcy
Encouraged by meditator to retain legal counsel as a group of parishes
$50,000 retainer fee total for approximately 100 parishes, $500 per parish
Two Goals
Release across the board for all parishes at the same time
Protect our interest in funds
No claims currently lodged against St. Richard’s Church
MN Legislature has requested 5/2016 as the end date to be part of the group settlement
III.
Potential Parking Lot Revenue Opportunity
Potential to lease the side lot by Richfield Bloomington Honda to use as overflow
Legal ramifications of such use to be reviewed by legal counsel
Would need to assess if there would be zoning issues with the City of Richfield
Will be brought to the Finance Council
Would consider a time frame for use of the lot

St. Richard’s Church’s Identity In Regards to Shared Ministry
Feelings of being cared for and caring for others, the community of worship, strong music, intimate, moderate/progressive parish

Ministry Fair Update
Stewardship.Org being used and came out of a stewardship meeting attended in 2014 with a breakout group for shared ministry
Reviewed invites for the event & will be sending invites to current members of the ministry groups
Sending out save the date
Will figure out a goal
Booklet listing all the ministry available will also be done in Spanish along with other resources being used, literature will be in both languages
Next meeting is 3/5/15

Formation Committees Discussion-7 out of 14 have responded
Focusing on adults
Finance Committees
Changed meeting date to 3

Thursday of the month & time to 6:30pm
Report will be a month late to the Parish Council
Meeting 3/19 will be with the Facilities Commission
Facilities Committees
Continuing to work on what to bring forward to the commission for building list repairs/needs
Looking at what needs to be done vs what would be nice to be done
How far into the future should this go-5 yrs., 10 yrs., 15 yrs. etc.
Are there parishioners involved in any professional groups that can help with repairs?
Worship Committees
Detailed on the upcoming Lent & Easter Seasons
Financial needs for replacing materials such as decorations for the worship space decorations
Pastoral Care Committees
Senior Luncheon 2/17/15-100 people attending
Justice Committee
Currently is no committee
Justice committee in the past encompassed-Habitat for Humanity, HealthCare, Capital Punishment, etc.
Hosted articles in the bulletin on issues, videos
Collaborated with other parishes on justice events
Areas of Justice St Richard’s Church could address
Social teachings of the Catholic Church when issues come up for voting in the legislature
