Sheryl joined the staff as Parish Administrator in June 2012. Along with Fr. Mark, she supervises the staff and oversees parish finances and human resources. She is the staff liaison to the Finance Council, Capital Improvements Steering Committee and Strategic Planning Team.
Sheryl believes that our talented staff and committed parishioners are a team. We work together to make the day-to-day operations of the parish function and collaborate in ministry and service to our parish community.
This is the third parish community that Sheryl has served as Parish Administrator; she celebrates 25 years in parish service to the archdiocese in February. During that time, she supplemented her business degree from the University of Minnesota with a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership and Spirituality from St. Catherine University.
In addition to her three-quarters time work for St. Richard, Sheryl is a Spiritual Director on the adjunct staff of the Benedictine Center at St. Paul’s Monastery and a Labyrinth Facilitator. She conducts retreats and workshops in a variety of settings, including prayer walks on her own backyard labyrinth. She is married to Reverend Phil Rose, the Director of Spiritual Life at Episcopal Homes. She feels blessed that her two adult children are both married and live in Minneapolis, and is the very proud grandmother of 2½ year old Hazel.
