Meet Our Staff: Susie Osacho, Director of Faith Formation
by 2019
I have been on staff since January 2016, and got my start as a volunteer catechist in Northern Wisconsin after I was confirmed in 9th grade. I have been involved with faith formation ever since and eventually received a Master’s Degree in Religious Education in 2010.
Fun fact: My sister Donna and I play the accordion and have created our own version of a polka Mass. You can check it out here at St. Richard on October 12, 2019!
My goal as a faith formation director is to provide lifelong learning resources and opportunities for people of all ages, to provide prayer experiences and service opportunities to help individuals make intentional connections that empower us to be in right relationship with God and each other, and to more intentionally understand why we do what we do and why it matters.
I serve as the staff liaison for our Faith Formation Commission. While a large portion of my time is dedicated to formal formation and sacramental preparation, in the past few years we created #Mercy Works Service Projects to provide opportunities to help others in our community. We look forward to new faces getting involved as these service opportunities are open to everyone in the parish community!
Involvement and empowerment of youth is also very important to me. Our partnership with Side by Side Ministries, having an onsite youth missionary, has enabled us to involve middle school and older aged youth and it’s my prayer that we continue involving more youth in all aspects of our parish community.
During the school year, I work Wednesday—Sunday. You can reach me at 612-869-2426, ext. 120. I feel blessed and grateful for the opportunity to walk with each of you in this most important journey. I challenge those who have yet to get involved to do so since we do not know the day or the hour that the Lord will call us…
