My name is Fr. Jim Liekhus, and I’m very excited to be your new pastor [effective July 1, 2020]. It is in darkness and silence that abuse occurs and all too often it is only later that we realize that there were symptoms. Lay ministry volunteers, parents and catechists are in a special position to recognize signs of potential abuse suffered by children, the elderly or vulnerable adults, and bring it into the light. Won’t you join us in proactively protecting our most vulnerable community members? On Saturday, February 25, we will host safe environment training here at the church. All are welcome! Please pre-register online.
We have a Community News section in our bulletin highlighting everything from retreats and education events, to local dinners and volunteer opportunities.

On May 14 & 15, we will be holding our second annual Gifts Celebration. During all Masses, our giftedness will be affirmed and blessed. In the Social Hall there will be tables showcasing a variety of ministries and programs that take place at St. Richard’s Catholic Church. It is an opportunity to acknowledge all the things that take place and all the people who make our parish home. Come help us celebrate—and maybe discover a new gift of your own!
Please know that the St. Richard’s Church leadership is 100% committed to Youth Faith Formation and that we fully intend to hire a new director to replace Terri Hunt. Until a new director begins, Beth Gaetz will serve as Interim Coordinator of the Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade Sunday morning program.
