If your loved one has passed away, please contact us to begin the funeral planning process. Simply call the parish office at 612-869-2426 and we will assist you. If you call after hours, select the emergency line to get a message to our Pastor.
In addition to registered parishioners, we offer funeral services to local Catholics who may not have a particular parish affiliation. You are welcome to choose any funeral home or cremation service and we will work with them. Family members and friends have the opportunity to work with our staff to choose liturgically apropriate music and scripture readings.
In addition to the Mass of Christian Burial, we offer a visitation prior to the liturgy, normally starting one hour before the Mass. You may choose to have an off-site Vigil prior to the day of the funeral. Your funeral home will be able to provide you with options if you so choose.
We will provide musical accompaniment for the Mass and provide a worship aid for you and your guests to follow during the liturgy. Our pastoral ministry volunteers will serve a light reception following the Mass for a minimal cost to the family. Either our pastor or a pastoral minister will accompany you to the burial site for the Rite of Committal.
We also offer funeral pre-planning services - please call the office at 612-869-2426 or contact Fr. Jim Liekhus or Fr. Bryan Kujawa for more information.
For information about Catholic funeral rites, please see the USCCB website.
We understand that the grieving process does not end with the funeral - this is only the beginning of a process that will require time and prayer. Fr. Liekhus or Fr. Bryan are available to meet with you and provide you with information about grief support groups and other services as you move forward on your journey.
